1952 Mercury M1 Pickup 52Fiper story

This is how it started ...

Viper V10 SRT10 engine Ben Verduin 52Fiper project

First winter ....Freezing cold trying to find out
how heavy the viper engines are, .lost the bet with Mika...

We received more than 37.000 visit in 10 weeks   Thank you for your support

This is our father and son project named ”52 Fiper “

Long story short…
In 2004 we wanted to start a new home project …” We decided to build a farm truck”.
Not a stock classic truck but something with a cre-artive aspect.
The project had to be challenging and radical but in balance of its past.
After finding 2 projects 52 Ford / Mercury trucks and the main parts arrived the project started....
We started the project in the carport and worked there for 4 years ,
This summer 2010 we finally had our new shop ready ...what a blessing. dry , warm, space and organized !, and my wife is very happy, no more gas, oil and exhaust fumes in the house !

The mechanical and interior also had to be some special and was donated from a
2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10 / with a V10 500 HP Viper engine manual 6 speed.
However to make this all fit we had to make the cab 24 Inches wider (2 feet !!) and stretch  the body 14
Over the years many changes have been made and still we come up with cool ideas.

We love to be creative and try to step away from some existing ideas.
Creativity is the key for our hot rodding truck project,
One very important thing ...listen to your kids, they have an unspoiled mind and do not follow existing rules or concepts.
Together we see what is possible and least but not last if it is financially possible.
We tried to keep everything within our budged and it goes well, some ideas however are even with a lot of creativity out of our range , but the fun side is that it sometimes also creates new ideas that are within.
Till today it is the most challenging car project we build and still enjoy working on.
With some pressure from friends we decided to show the work in progress
We need one more winter in shop time to finish it
Hope you appreciate our work and creativity and we love to hear your opinion and ideas
